Bus Services

Bus Services in Seaton and Downderry offer vital connections for residents and visitors exploring South East Cornwall. The main public route is the Go Cornwall Bus Service 75, which runs between Torpoint and Liskeard, passing through Crafthole, Portwrinkle, Downderry (Broads Yard), and Seaton (Sea Front). Buses typically operate Monday to Saturday, with stops every hour during the day. In addition to public transport, the Downderry & District Community Bus provides scheduled weekly trips to Plymouth, Liskeard, and other destinations like Exeter, Totnes, Truro, and Looe. It also supports school transport and offers private hire for registered local groups. Together, these services ensure reliable, affordable travel for shopping, appointments, school runs, and scenic outings along the coast.

Tide Times

Tide Times in Downderry and Seaton are essential for planning beach walks, swimming, fishing, and coastal activities along this scenic stretch of South East Cornwall. Both villages experience semi-diurnal tides—meaning two high and two low tides each day—with heights and timings varying throughout the month.

Neighbourhood Watch

Downderry and Seaton Neighbourhood Watch joined with DaSRA in July 2021 to represent the whole community. We live in a low‑crime area, but risks still exist — cyber crime, isolation of vulnerable residents, and opportunistic crime. Neighbourhood Watch supports safety and wellbeing for everyone who lives and works here. We encourage all residents to sign up — it’s free and strengthens our shared vigilance.

Food Bank

The Liskeard & Looe Foodbank supports people across South East Cornwall who are facing crisis, providing essential food, toiletries, and practical help when it’s needed most. Run in partnership with local churches, the foodbank operates from several locations, including its main centre at 21 Dean Street, Liskeard (PL14 4AB), and uses an e‑voucher referral system to ensure support reaches those who need it quickly. With demand continuing to rise, the foodbank relies on community donations and volunteers to keep its shelves stocked and its services running. Phone: 07512011452
