The Zone is a community-run health and wellbeing hub located in the former Methodist Chapel in Downderry, Cornwall. Since 2007, it has offered a welcoming space for yoga, pilates, youth sessions, playgroups, craft cafés, music events, and social clubs. Downderry & Seaton's Community Shop

πŸ›’ Community Shop

The Downderry & Seaton Community Shop is a not‑for‑profit, volunteer‑supported store at the heart of village life. It offers everyday essentials alongside locally sourced produce, refill options, fresh bread, pastries, and goods from Cornish makers. A twice‑weekly pop‑up Post Office provides parcel services, cash withdrawals and deposits, and bill payments, making the Shop an essential hub for residents and visitors.

The café next door is a relaxed, friendly space serving fresh food, bean‑to‑cup coffee, teas, and homemade cakes. It’s a welcoming spot to meet neighbours, take a break on a coastal walk, or enjoy time with family — dogs included. All profits from both the Shop and Café are reinvested back into community services.

🏑 Community Space

Above the Shop is a bright, flexible community room available to hire outside Shop hours. It’s used for workshops, meetings, classes, and small gatherings, offering an affordable local venue that supports village groups and activities.
